My hydroboost is leaking. I am trying to swap it out but all of the adjustable pedal setup is in the way. I can't even locate the upper right bolt. Has anyone done this one any tips?

I have located the bolts. The loweright bolt is directly behind a mount for the adjustable brake pedal. I can barely get a socket in there much less a rachet. Has anyone performed this swap.

The bolt is behind this bracket.

I have the nut off the top and the bolt out of the bottom. I am fighting the bolt that comes in from the firewall side of the bracket but I am not sure if removing it will help.

Hard to see angle wise, but you possibly get a ratcheting wrench in there?

Jason - I'm not going to be of any help - Last year I took one look at the "Gymnastics" required to work on this one and I took mine to the dealer - $1100. I think the part alone was $700, so the labor was not that outrageous for the nasty job...

What if you took the steering shaft out? Would that help at all with a socket?

What I did was remove the drivers seat so I could lay on my back, and use an open end wrench
It will only turn very little and took me very long time to get them off. what sucks is theres lock compound on them so there tight all the way. Wait till you have to put them back on!!

What year is your Tahoe? Looks like a 2004?

I changed the hyrdoboost in my 04 Suburban and you just gave me flashbacks to what a PITA that was. I used some long extensions with wobble extensions and a 1/4" air ratchet for some of them.

The blind one might need a ratcheting wrench and fingers.

Don't forget to put the spring from your old one to the new one,if needed, or you will get to do it twice. ;)
