If I decide to order it, this is the problem with dumping it in the existing tips.

I went to look under the truck, and the way the sections are cut on the Corsa if I don't use their tips, they are going to be way short of where the stock pipes dump into the stock tips.

That means that I'd have to have extensions welded on.

why welded on? Just make a new extension piece at an exhaust shop and clamp it down. That way you can remove it if necessary or for when you resell the kit.

FYI, all Corsa exhaust uses stainless clamps, no welding.

Oh okay ... I didn't know if the shops carry this diameter pipe and clamp. I thought since it's not part of the kit they would have had to weld something on.

Well the clamp would be provided in your kit. The piping is standard.

Oh I see ... Instead of using them to clamp the tips, they'd use them to clamp the extensions. I knew they'd have a pipe the same diameter but I didn't know if they'd have one slightly wider at the end so as to slide it over to clamp it ... that's why I thought they'd have to weld it.

they can always flare it out to slide over if need be. It's really a simple solution. Might be $50 installed for those two pieces. The place that did our suburban even flattened out the round piping where it went into the exhaust sleeves to give it a more "fitted" look instead of just a round pipe into a rectangular opening. Might be more if you wanted stainless, but for that small section of pipe that no one will ever see, I'd just rock it with aluminum piping.

Agreed IMHO with those Corsa TIPS you would need to lower the truck and make it look more street sceneish , Just doesn't look Uniform on a stock height truck , Plus IMHO those tips would look great on a sports car , but those squared OEM make it have a premium look

Gotta agree with this line of thinking. The oem just fits the bumper right, if you went with the corsa you'd need to mod the bumper to make it look right IMO.

Love the oem look of the tips, anything else looks like you have a regular bumper that you modified a little
