ENGINEERING TIMELINE GM NORTH AMERICAN ENGINEERING Car Truck Engineer "Convergence" where the GM Truck Engineers in 2005 were decimated as a group, moved to warren and got TRUCKED by Car Engineers. (I lived through it so I know LOL)

Girlie MOTHER - Designed by GM "Car Engineers" Prior to the Take over of GM Truck Engineering By Engineers that could NOT design a vehicle people wanted - Think "Aztek"

TRUCK - (Last Truck GMT 900) That was Designed By GM Truck Engineers in Pontiac Michigan (Formerly GM Truck and Bus) with SOP in 2006

Girlie DAUGHTER
- (note resemblance to POS Caddy station wagon..they just couldn't get that out of their heads) Designed by GM Car Engineers AFTER Getting rid of GM Truck Engineering in 2007. SOP of Girlie truck 2013.

Look up GM Car Truck "Convergence" for details on the elimination of GM Truck and Bus engineering.

This is a popcorn thread......... Hilarious to watch this unfold.....

Metal bumper, plastic, girlie, real truck... Oh well, I drive what I like and am comfortable in, and yet still looks stellar 8 years old.

The 21 I want to drive see how it does, but will I buy one when this one is done? Probably not, The 18-20 seem to be about where the golden area for the last body style. I dont find them near as comfy as the prior, but looks wise they are not bad.

If I had to buy something right now to replace mine, 05-06 yukon denali, or 10-14 esky or denail. That's it in my book for me these days. Both great vehicles, both comfy, and easy to work on.

Engineers keep trying to top things, as they should, some things are just far fetched, and some ideas are not the best also. Its part of engineering, trial and error.

Eh, “my truck/car/cooler/grill/gun is cooler than yours” is the oldest “argument” there is.

But when people obsessively talk about how “masculine” their favorite truck is...well...

Its not a real truck unless you have a $500 Yeti cooler in the back bro......and filled with White Claws
