Not sure that model exits:

Ok, you made me look it up again! From the 2002 Restoration Kit, I see an NVG 246 which is RPO NP8 (New Venture Gear).

Then there is the Borg Warner BE 4482 which is RPO NR4, this is a 2-speed, full time transfer case. I think there's another but my eyes are bugging me looking at words.

I meant "exists!" LOL There are NP261s and NP263s, but I don't see any NP262s. I might be blind....

pretty sure 262 dont exist.
NVG/NP uses:
first digit for single or two speed
second digit it strength
third is type of transferring it has - clutched, viscous, open, etc
