Last week I met Justin at an undisclosed location (hint, people 'round there wear mouse ears) and he turned off the AFM/DOD and tuned the truck's ECM and TCM.

I was perfectly happy with the way the truck drove beforehand. My only gripe has been its poor mileage compared to other trucks like it. I am even more pleased with how it drives now, the shifts are more firm, happen quicker and part throttle down-shifting was adjusted to occur earlier or with less pedal travel.

The tune definitely unleashed some hidden horsepower, especially above 4,000 rpms. These 2009 XL 4x4s were the lowest rated LC9s @ 310 horsepower when the others were 315-320.

It was a pleasure meeting Justin and he was patient as I missed turns, failed to follow directions and reminisced over my glory days of drag racing!

As for the mileage, well it's still terrible but not enough time has elapsed to see for sure, most of my driving since is short and local. I'm getting 10 on this current tank of E85 which is nearly all city driving.

Now, where to display the sticker? On the lower left rear glass or under the 3rd brake light? One daughter commandeered a sticker for her notebook and I'm sure the other would do the same once she notices what her sister did.

Damn I missed him this year. Same happy place I met him for the 06 a few years ago. Need the Burb to unleash some HP. I vote no sticker, but if you must then lower left corner.

Diagonally on the right corner of the rear bumper, opposite of your "illest" sticker. JDM, yo.

Two nights ago the truck threw a P0430. I cleared it and it came back the next time out. This would explain the poor fuel economy so I reckon it is time for new cats.

Have considered hollowing them out but not sure how to get at the driver's side cat's catalyst material to break it up.

Well, I wanted to spend money on a physical delete of the AFM and a camshaft before doing any exhaust work. Not wanting to spend the money, I refilled the truck with 93 octane gas from E85 and drove around in low gear to get the cats hot. Then reset the code and took it out on the highway for about forty miles and the code never returned and the readings looked pretty good.

As for the tune, it can be scary at times! Especially when making a u-turning and getting on it and have the truck drop from 2nd to 1st, it lifts the front end and the motor takes off for 6,000 rpms! LOL I fear if we keep doing that a new motor mount or two will soon be in our future! But boy oh boy does the truck get up and go!

All time favorite mod I did to my previous vehicle was the BB Tune. I keep checking to see when they can tune 17s and will be in the Denver area again!!!

lol, the first time i drove the truck tuned, i sent justin an email, "alls good yadda yadda 1>2 shift is kind of rough though, gotta see if we can smooth it out!" It turns out the thing was spinning the front tires shifting and the traction control was kicking on
