I need some advice/ info/ prayers for replacing a brake line.

I Did see a video where a guy used a crowsfoot socket thing. I've never used one.

you really need a set of crows foot wrenches if you're working on brake lines. Also need to remove spare to get the union of the rear lines. Its held onto the cross member by a 10mm bolt iirc. i used a mirror to see it, then a flexhead ratcheting combo wrench to remove bolt, then you can get access to the line connector a bit easier.

The Dorman set up for that price including fittings is the way to go if you find it. Plan on a full day so you can take your time. It won’t take that long but as Urban mentioned there are a few spots that will test your patience. If you have a buddy have them help. It always makes it at least seem easier. Remember about the bleeders. Good luck and take lots of pics for the next guy. You can do it.

The large fittings are 14mm.

I tried. I couldn't get to the fitting in the abs unit. Two different wrenches and i couldn't get either one on in a position that allowed me to move it.

So i called the mechanic around the corner and he estimated $150 . So i gave up.

I'm dropping the truck off Thursday.
I am a disgrace to my people.

Sometimes you just gotta know when to hand it over to a professional. As long as you gave it your best, there's no disgrace in that.

I went to 3 stores and nobody had the flare nut style crows foot. So i got standard flare nut and a set with heads that folded 90 degrees.
I don't think i could have gotten a ratchet in there.
