If they miss so many signal transmissions in a row it trips that message. It's an indicator of dying batteries normally. If you're quick you can often cycle through your tire pressures quickly and see which lists "---" but often times by the time you see the message and react its already gone back to normal. Just keep trying and you'll eventually see one blanked out.My "service tire monitor" just came on...... I wonder if doing the "You Tube" test might show me which is bad, or maybe reset the monitors?
When my sensors died i did the best thing and it was free, I threw them away and replaced them with regular valve stems. TPMS to me are useless.
When i start the truck i get a message about them but i simply hit the button on the steering wheel and it`s gone. It bothers some people but i could care less because it takes one second to make it go away. It`s much easier than replacing those overpriced monitors.
