Went to the junkyard and picked this hood up in near perfect condition. My old hood had no clear coat at all.

Looks like I got the wrong color lol

Looks like the hood is pewter colored. And it looks like the rest of your truck is silver birch metallic. I’d be willing to bet the hood came off a truck that was a 2004 or older and your truck is either a late 2004, a 2005 or a 2006. Lol

You could totally match the fender flares, mirrors, and window visors to match the hood and have one heck of a custom look going.

I laughed at all these replies lol.

But what is your paint code? Because I could have sworn I picked out the right color, but I guess theres one with a slight difference?
I think that hood is Silver Birch Metallic, yours looks like Pewter Metallic. Or vice versus. Silver Birch is darker iirc.

Silver birch is lighter than pewter metallic. I’ve owned 4 different pewter metallic trucks and one silver birch.

Ok, maybe the hood is Sandalwood Metallic. I know in 04 they changed but there’s one for the 99-03 that’s slightly darker than the Pewter, maybe Sandalwood?

I don’t recall Sandalwood. The only others I recall in GMT800 are gold metallic, storm grey metallic, ultra silver metallic, grey stone metallic, and stealth grey. The lighting must have been way different between the OP’s two pics. The original pic with all the contrast the hood appears to be off of a 99-03 vehicle with 382e Pewter metallic. The OP’s vehicle appears to be 926L silver birch. Of course from pics online it’s impossible to know the hoods match especially if it has ever been reshot. I think there were like 7 variations to 382e pewter metallic over the GM family from the 90s into 2000s.
