My fuel pump was going out so I ordered a new one. Got it in the mail and threw it in the truck to replace when I got off. Apparently it had other plans so when I went to get food on a break from work at 1am it crapped out. No sweat, I'll just change it out in this parking lot with a basic set of Craftsmen tools I keep in the back. Dropped the half full tank and changed it out by my lonesome in 2 hours from first hose clamp loose to last one tightened. Will say the tank weighed at least 120lbs and I'm going to be sore as hell tomorrow...

World record? I think we'll give you a time trial into the final heat. But still, way to think on your feet and get done what needed to be done.

Haha, almost had to shave my mullet with all the mud that was caked in it, had tested out the 4wd and hadn't washed it yet... Definitely wasn't pretty trying to get the tank back in. I put it in line on the ground, worked my legs under it and shimmied my body so I could bench press it up...

To anyone that feels like they're loosing power or the truck doesn't feel as peppy I strongly recommend changing the fuel pump... I had tested my pressure a couple times in the past few weeks and it looked decent at 50-55 psi but in the higher rpm's the truck felt sluggish. I now have full power back, more than I remember actually

Yeah I did mine last week. And of course it's more than just doing the fuel pump with my truck... the tank had rot and a hole in it, so I had to order a new tank! I painted it and clean the crap out of everything. Nice and new.

Ouch that sucks... Good thing about the south is no rust...

You wouldn't happen to know what the sensor is that pops into the pump? Pretty sure I broke mine and haven't been able to find a schematic...
