I have a 99 Tahoe and would like to replace the 2 front seats with a bench seat. Anyone done this? I haven't found anything yet. If you have what seats did you used and does it bolt right in? Thanks in advance. Also, could I put the 2 captains chairs in the rear instead of a 3rd row.

unknown at this time.
that was a yukon setup just find yourself a 99 kon or hoe and transfer the parts I think you might need a little rewiring but otherwise the bench assy. should bolt right in.

I dont care if it's power, as long i can move it manually. I just want to add the bench to the front. I guess I'll have to find a Yukon bench because I haven't been able to find one from a Tahoe.

Or maybe a console seat/ Jump seat?

Couldn't you just hit the junkyard and find one from the same year pickups and toss it in there. Seems to me it'd be a direct fit. As far as the captains go, you might be able to toss them in the very back and bolt them to the floor, if you anchor them correctly and fab up some seatbelts. Just remember that the cargo area doesn't have the same floorboard height as the front, so legroom is going to suck and you might even have to remove the headrests to clear the headliner.

derf, where are you located?
I'm actually planning on doing just the opposite. I wanna swap in two captain's seats in lieu of my front bench

Good point on the clearance in the back. As far as the truck seats from the same year goes. I'm all over it if they'll fit. That's what I'm trying to find out. If they do, I think my search for a bench will become much simpler.

:signs16: i like my buckets too much

I enjoy my buckets as well. But to each their own.

You could find a bench seat out of an OBS Suburban or Silverado/Sierra as well. They came with benches too. My dads old Suburban 3/4 ton had a leather bench up front with a flip up console.
