lol you guys get off lucky. my truck tips the scale at 7,830 at the truck weigh station.

so as of right now im leaning more to a big ass snail, something like 65mm and up. is there in issue with putting a turbo on one exhaust manifold and not having one on the other side?

Whats the difference with a TURBO DIESEL MOTOR SET UP compared to a GAS TURBO MOTOR SETUP?

All work trucks have turbo diesel set-ups. One of the most sought after and exspensive Tahoe's are the Turbo Diesel One's.

Diesels are torque monsters, even without turbo chargers. They use a longer stroke to make the best use of their fuel properties. They also don’t have to depend on a spark plug. They compress the air and when they are ready for the combustion, they inject the fuel at that instant.

Now that electronic injectors have arrived on the scene, diesels will most likely dominate the small car market as well as the trucking industry.

The over the road trucks with 500 plus HP also have as much as 1,000 ft/lbs of torque just off an idle. That is why you see semi’s cruising down the highway at 70 mph, at close to idle.

Visit the banks website to see what Gale is doing with his applications for racing turbo’s.

I don’t know what the concern is about the weight of your trucks, like you can do anything about it. Try filling your tires with helium. :)
