I'm still on the quest for a subtle upgrade to my OEM air dam. I haven't found anything that catches my eye. I was randomly searching for yukon xl pics when I came across the following....

If anyone could post up any information on this air dam, I would greatly appreciate it.

Checked both places, neither of them have it... Or I just don't see it. I thought LMC would surely have it, but I am at a loss for finding anything.

I am interested in a nice lower valance with better fog lights. The OEM fog lights suck, even with my HID's in them.

^^^ I'm always open to opinion. I like looking at mods done by anyone. While various mods may not always be what I would do on my own vehicle, looking at what other people have done is a great way to gain knowledge on aftermarket availability for our trucks.

I too am looking for a subtle valance. The first batch of bumpers/valance's that are listed on the link above are just too much for me. I am aware of the street scene valances, but they are made for outdated piaa fog lights.

I like the idea of the valance in my original post because it looks oem, with different fog light housings. I attempted to start a front valance thread a few months ago, but it didn't take off. Any Yukon owners with aftermarket front valance / air dams, please post up!

I agree completely! As far as subtlety, scroll to the bottom of the page I posted and you'll find the valance only portion. I don't think the valance you posted looks OEM at all though. It looks cheap. I'd be happy to help with the valance thread though. Hell, we can start it now. I'll post up. What I did was color match my stock valance, then I put 6000K HIDs in the factory fogs. Nice and suble. I really love it.

Let me ask you: Why don't you like the stock fogs and/or valance? Why not put a Denalil bumper cover on? Where is it that you're trying to go with the look?

dont care for the first post pic valance either. Looks fiberglass for some reason. Breaks easy. Might be a regency conversion one. I know they have some diff. valances on thier trucks. I think. From that link chip posted..

This one looks very interesting. Are those lights in the bumper?

Personally i like the denali bumpers. But dont you have to change the whole front just to get it to work?

I like that one you posted too! I was looking at that. I don't know what's up with those lights in the bumper, but that has nothing to do with the valance anyway, so moot point really.

I like the Denali bumpers as well. I played with the idea of getting one. I wouldn't imagine you would have to change anything, but I don't know. You'd have to ask somebody else.

That SS bumper cover is Sick too. I've also thought about putting a Sierra/Sierra Denali Bumper on. I wonder what that would look like?

Chip: I may just end up painting my OEM valance, and get an 05-05 lip to complete the look. Compared to my other vehicles, I don't think the stock fog lights provide enough light output (even with HID's) to make any difference. I'd like a valance that provided a fog light with better output.

I have considered a Denali front end, but I feel like its a cop-out. I don't have a denali, and if I'm going to change the look of my front end, I'd rather not replicate a look that can be found on another stock truck.

My truck is black. my intent is to paint my stock bumpers completely black. I wanted an aftermarket valance to add a little more styling to my front end. I will be painting my grill shell black, and will be adding a billet grill in the center.

As far as the last valance in question, that truck with the huge fog lights in the bumper is the Stillen Yukon GTS! A very rare truck, and the front bumper might be a stillen piece. Piaa used to make fog lights that fit into those openings, but I believe they have since been discontinued....

Here is a link to the truck. http://www.trucktrend.com/roadtests/performance/163_0404_2004_gmc_yukon_denali/index.html
