idle problem?

Hey my tahoe today was idling strange. It would move up and down maby 100rpms or so. while driving it would run fine even if i got down on it but when the rpms dropped it would go too far dawn and then come back up. any suggestions? thanks in advanced.

What year engine, etc.

Could be fuel pressure issue. Maybe clogged fuel filter. weak fuel pump.
not sure until the specifics are known.

maybe IAC? kinda having the same issues as u..... does ur idle drop below 500rpms when u come to a stop light or sign?

yea it does drop below 500 when i come to a stop or something. i figured it was something weird like that considering it acted fine when i accelerated hard.

sounds like u and i are goin to go the same route this weekend.. i posted a thread called iac help.... im gonna be attempting the cleaning this weekend.. ill be posting pics of the process

Just clean out the throttle body real real good, should solve your idle problem!
