I find my Garmin unit to be much, much better than that GM Navigation System built into my 2010 Tahoe. Geez, General Motors, offer what the customer wants instead of what you want to offer. :banghead:

Anyone from General Motors like polls? Bet they take plenty of them, but won't manage to see this one. It ain't too pretty for the GM Navigation System. :Big Laugh:

I'll take the wife reading a map and yelling directions at me before the GM nav ... she whines less than that stupid dvd!

Sheesh, get with the hard-drive and usb sync/ipod integration/updated maps and poi already.

Other than that it's super. :insane:

The problem with GM is by the time they bring out something it is already antique. It took them awhile to put NAVs in their vehicles and they really are not that good. My 05 CTS V had a decent one with the exception that the map "upgrade" was fantastic if you never left Michigan. Otherwise it was useless.

You guys are absolutely right, the GM one is garbage. I use Google Navigation on my Android phone.

After having a $99 one after the fact in my other car I hate the GM one. I wish I wouldn't have spent the $1500 or whatever it was to purchase it.

Wouldn't bother with the GM system...phones now have free navigation apps, works well. If I really am concerned about where I am going...will borrow a Garmin/Tom Tom.

I've heard from one of my unusually unreliable sources that for 2013, GM is going to upgrade their vehicle lineup and offer the option of having their navigation system operate off of a 3.5" floppy disk drive. Yearly upgrade fees for the navigation floppies will be $299.99.
