Lol Edgar I think he was joking.

Me, joke about the out-of-date GM navigation "system" and their pricing? :emotions122:

Edgar probably doesn't even know what a 3.5" floppy drive is. I had one on my first computer back in 1991, so I'll have to give him a pass on my last post due to his youth. :)

"The 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe is pretty much unchanged. The optional navigation system is now hard-drive based, providing quicker responses and digital music storage capability." http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/tahoe/2012/

Maybe we'll get a review on the 2012 navigation system soon. If it's a real improvement, someone can volunteer -- not me -- to be a guinea pig and upgrade their 2011 or before Tahoe, if that is possible.

I like the new system Cadillac is coming out with for 2012/2013! I wonder if something similar will be coming to Chevrolet and GMC?

2013 Cadillac XTS Interior, CUE Infotainment System Revealed

The average Cadillac owner is 110 years old, doesn't own a computer, and most of them had to be dragged into the touchtone phone era. I can't see them being too impressed with CUE. :sleepy10:

I regret not getting the navigation system in my car.

Don't be. It's lousy. There have been several other threads about what a stinker the GM nav is. I had to turn my Garmin on to get me out of a city when the GM nav had gotten me lost twice. Had them both going. Good example - went something like:

Garmin: "In one quarter mile take the Deerpark off ramp east and then merge left onto Highway 2 south."

GM: "In one quarter mile turn right then turn left." ****.

GM doesn't call out street names (unless it is a number), etc. and it can be ten to twenty feet too soon or too late on turns. It's five years or more behind a Garmin.

Plus being half way down the console means you have to keep taking your eye off the road, usually having to move your head, to try and see what it's reading out because the verbal instructions are so poor.

The Garmin sits on the dash and you can just glance at it and get your eyes back on the road. Most of the time you just listen and do what it tells you. Very clear and concise.
