I've had this idea runnin through my head since I saw the LED conversion table that is stickied. www.superbrightleds.com has some bulbs on the front page that look like they might be replacements for turn signals/brake lights/reverse lights. Am I crazy or has anyone else thought about trying these and see if they would work on our trucks. Is there anything else that would have to be done?

thought about it after I saw a Silverado on IH-35 that had some really white daytime driving lights. I assumed they were L.e.d.s because they were so white & bright. I would still like some. Need to look into it.

drls will kill reg leds. i have burnt up a few pairs lol. v-led has some the are made for gm drls but 50 bucks. dont feel like 50 bones for leds a worth it.

You just need to put some resistors inline on the DRL's, turns, backup, and corner...I've been running mine for over a year now with no burn outs. I go through a set in my plate lights like every six month but I ordered like 40 of them on Ebay for like $10......... there was a write up somewhere, it may have been on the old forum....

Yeah I remember something about them burning out & adding resistors to manage the power to keep them from doing this. IS thier a write up on what is needed & how they were being installed. I've wanted to do this will just the driving lights anyway.

ive heard that you can use this on the drls and will fix ur fast blink. about half way down

You don't run your computer without a surge protector do you? Why risk damage to your expensive leds?

seems like an easy fix with that. when I installed leds in my taillights/blinkers in my other car, I used a different flasher relay and it fixed the rapid flashing.
