I am wondering if you either had an oil passage clogged, or if you had some sludge build up that was breaking loose and clogging the filter. That engine flush may have taken care of either.

In my experience the oil pump relief valve gets stuck open causing a loss of oil pressure intermittently. The motor flush additive probably loosened up some sludge and allowed the valve to move freely

Did you run the Rislone for an entire 3k mile cycle or did you add it towards the end when you did the oil change.

It's funny how so many people call products snake oil and have never used any of them.

Glad it worked out. Good info. Thanks. Never thought of looking into risolene products.
