I have been looking for a Used SUV for awhile and ran across a 1999 Tahoe LT with 160,000 miles for $4200.00. I actually got it for $3600.00. I test drove it for a few miles and it was feeling pretty good about it. I am a little messed up cause I was trying to feel how it was riding/running instead of looking at the gauges. The Gas Gauge vibrates like a humming bird, and the oil gauge never goes to 0 but it will float between 20psi and 40+ psi with application of the gas while driving. Am I hosed and in for expensive repairs or is this normal and a easy fix?

Oil guage is about normal for that many miles, when its warmed up it'll fluctuate with the throttle.

Gas guage is either bad on the carrier unit in the tank itself, or the guage needs a new step motor. theres some pictures floating around in this section about it. Atomic fixed the one in his escalade cluster.
