Hey guys....
Got a 6" Rough Country lift going to be installed Monday on my 2004 Z71 Tahoe, ordered Ultra wheels Baron 17x 9 wheels with 315/70/17 tires, thought everything was good to go. Now the rims came in and have the 5.5" backspacing not the 4.5" like Rough Country website says they need to be. I told the place that ordered the rims that they needed to be 4.5" BS.... but they came in as a 5.5"....... getting conflicting info from Rough Country, one guy says "no way 5.5" BS won't fit", another guy says "5.5" BS sure no problem."... I'm very frustrated. Anyone have first hand experience????
Not a big fan of spacers.... that's why I thought I ordered the correct backspacing.

Help!

Test fit the wheels but if they won't fit then pickup 1" spacers or get the company to exchange for the correct offset.

Ohh and don't mount the tires because most wheel companies won't accept the wheel back after a tire has been mounted. Just test fit the wheels by themselves first.

While I don't have any personal experience with that kit, most knuckle lifts will not allow more than 4.5 bs, with 5 being a stretch for some kits.

I would have them install the kit and mock up the wheel with no tire for clearance. Do they have any other 5.5 bs wheels laying around that they could test fit? If I read your post correctly, sounds like the shop doing the install made a mistake ordering. They should be the ones to fix the problem and order you new wheels if that is what it takes.

Don't even bother with the 5.5s. The 4.5bs fit better and look better as they give a slightly wider stance by sticking out a bit more. Just order the correct wheels and send the 5.5s back, very simple. I don't see the dilema bro. Just demand what you ordered and get it done.

I agree, save yourself the trouble and exchange them for the right BS. That way you dont have to mess with buying the spacers too.
