I want to install in channel rain guards on my 2012 Tahoe but have a question before I do. I also have a 2006 Limited 4-Runner and was advised against installing in channel rain guards due to potential damage to the window motor and loosening the window track which would create wind noise. I have not heard anything about this issue regarding Tahoe's. Has anyone had any experience with rain guards on Tahoe's creating this problem?

Every vehicle I have owned I get the in channel vent visors. I am on my 3rd Tahoe. I have never had any issue with any of them. Just be cautious about using the brush type car washes and you will be fine.

Thank you....that's exactly what I was looking for. I just like the finished look of the in-chn guards. Thank again for the help.

I do like the look of in channel ones but have only one gripe.....over time they tend to 'chatter' when the window is open especially on the highway. They don't sit tight after the window has been open opened/ closed multiple times. I have the weathertech ones which look great and they have been only on for about a year.....

I have yet to experience anything like that. I have been using the Auto Ventshades for years on several different vehicles and never had anything like that happen. Mine usually get knocked off by the car wash. LOL

I have the Avs ones. They suck. I liked the weather techs I had before.

I love my weathertechs, I had the AVS in channels on my 04 and they weren't bad I didn't have any issues with them but to me the weathetechs look less noticeable.
