I just did a 2/4 drop that turned out closer to a 2/3 drop so far. It’s day one so it might still settle and I may have to adjust the auto level in the rear, not sure if I got the ride height sensor rods cut down far enough. I went with 4” lowering springs in the rear with shock relocators. For the front I simply flipped the struts to mount under my aluminum control arms with grade 10 bolts and nuts. I got exactly a 2” drop there. I remembered this mod from others here who have done it.

Any rubbing issues?
Did you have to do the free travel mod?

I have the Belltech 753 kit. It is a 2” drop front spindle and a 4” drop spring for the rear with a 1” puck for a 3” drop. On 24x10 with 305/35 tires. View attachment 453387

Some rubbing on the liners front and rear. I used 1/4 spacers in the rear. In the front I heated the liner where it was rubbing and pushed it in. Still rubs a little when wheels are turned too far but not a big deal. I have not done the free travel mod yet. I need too because the bump stops are very close, but I rarely have anyone in the back and I don’t tow anything so it hasn’t been much of an issue.

Nice! I have the hardware to do the strut flip but I haven’t yet. Not gonna lie I am a little afraid lol. My rear looked a little lower than the front. Even though it measures 1/2 higher to the fender. I ended up putting the pucks under the rear springs recently for a little rake.

The drop cost me a total of about $125 plus the DJM rear end links which were about $100 by themselves. Its rides awesome, no complaints on the EBay rear drop springs. Autolevel still works in the rear with shortened ride height sensors.

No they won’t. The only drop springs I have are in the rear. The front struts are stock, just flipped to mount under the control arm which gave me the 2” front drop.

In post #9 you ask about a 2 inch spring on a stock strut, yes it will drop it 2 inches. Yes, it will work but the strut will not have a very long life. I’m not talking about flipping it underneath or any other other BS.

Dude I do NOT have drop springs in the front. Nothing changed from stock in the front except I mounted the stock struts to the bottom of the control arms, which in effect lowered the truck.

@B19jrm that finally made sense, thanks for editing your post. I ended up just doing the strut flip and it worked out great. Your initial reply quoted the wrong post which confused the hell out of me. You need to figure this forum stuff out. In time I suspect you’ll grasp how things work.
