I'm so over the Bilstein 5100's not coming with the front strut lower spring seat. You are supposed to reuse the stock ones off FACTORY struts only, as ALL aftermarkets (Including the AC Delco Replacements) have the lower strut seat, or mount, welded onto the tube of the strut.

I have wasted so much time and money trying to figure this out and find a ******** seat its absurd. How Bilstein does not include two $5 piece of metal to clip on to THEIR shocks/struts so that you have and use a NEW part is beyond me. On top of the fact that no one seems to offer a part, INCLUDING GM!!!???

Missing $10 worth of stamped steel has prevented me from installing the front struts, not to mention spending $300 on AC Delco replacements in hopes it wasn't welded on......ya sure definitely welded on.

So pissed at Bilstein honestly, has anyone else run into this issue?!? I can't believe this isn't more talked about, I called Bilstein and they just brushed it off as a known issue but "easily solved".......I mean are you Fin serious?!

I have a set of front Autoride struts that I removed from my Burb when I dropped it... they still have the original non welded spring seats on them... been looking to move them and get them out of my shed.
