All it takes is one dead spot in the wiping range of the resistor and your PCM sees the problem. On DBW vehicles it will shut you down into reduced engine power mode and engine will do nothing but idle.

I have a new one on the way, I have a 320k 01 Yukon that I just put plugs wires intake gaskets, ac Delco knock sensors and new knock sens harness on.. I'm back up to 100% power up to 2/3 throttle then it boggs.. There are no Intake leaks and the fuel pump is brand new, put that in a little while back, gutted the catalytic converters and scrubbed the throttle body. We're getting there!

There is the scenario now where the ses light is finally off so it isn't grabbing any codes for what's going on now

Have you replaced your fuel filter?

What year, make, model, engine?

I'm putting that in now.. The knock sensors we're detuning the engine because the ends of the harness were rusted through..

I have a 2001 Yukon

You should have gotten a check engine light because of that. Were you? These engines (PCM) tell on themselves.

I was constantly getting a knock code and light.. I replaced them years back with the Chinese brand and left the original harness in when I had less knowledge of the setup.
