Well since I couldn’t find help anywhere, I just brought the caliper to the hardware store to find what the thread size was. It’s 3/8-24 for anyone needing to know. The older banjo bolts are m10x1.5x23mm
The correct thread size is 10MMx1 for the 2022 PPV calipers.
3/8-24 is the metric equivalent of the about 9.525x1.058.

It will still fit because the diameter is smaller and the pitch is close, but it will gall the aluminum threads on the caliper under proper tightening torque. Some the bolt threads will be in contact with the upper groove, and the other end will be in contact with the lower groove (no clamping effect) and the rest will be floating. That seems very dangerous.

I went through this entire thread and did not see this question...apologies if I missed it.
The PPV calipers on RockAuto and the GMC Brembo option are clearly not the same caliper.
I'm leaning toward the PPV due to costs but the other factory system would be warranteed.
My question is... in what ways are these 2 brake systems different?

This thread is not about comparing all the brake upgrade options and it is certainly not an aftermarket vs oem. It is purely about retrofitting a pretty cool GM factory option, with only some minor compromises (offset fitments for caliper and/or wheels).

I bought the ppv calipers for my 24 escalde and was curious as to what they are made out of. They have like a plastic feel to them.

Ahhhh, as I suspected. The PPV 6 pots may be made out of the same composite material as the 2021+ four pot calipers for the front.

never seen anything like that. Brembo stamp underneath doesn’t inspire much confidence.

All Brembo calipers (OEM, Performance and Racing) are going to be Aluminum. Cast or Billet depending on application. Some of the very high end stuff is a Al-Li alloy. But not composit.

>> it is certainly not an aftermarket vs oem

Apologies if I was not clear. My main inquiry is whether the GM PPV and GM OEM "big brakes" are interchangable ?
The specific application in question is a 2024 Yukon Denali that is used for towing a 7000+ lb rig.

Yes, interchangeable on the PPV Brembo & GM high performance aftermarket. They are interchangeable. The only thing that hasn’t been clarified is if their offset to the rim & disc are identical.

Phenolic Plastic is where I was going with the odd texture on the outside of the PPV caliper. There may be a piece of it clipped on or adhered to the exterior of the caliper body.
