Installing a new 6" lift kit on my Hoe

I am about to install a 6" lift kit on my 2005 Tahoe, but I have noticed on other lifted trucks that the front tires stick out further than the back ones.

My question is have any of you installed wheel spacers on the rear to make up the difference? and if so what size spacers did you go with?

And yes most everyone with a lift does this, I think there is only one brand of lift that doesn’t increase front track width. Most people put 2” spacers on the back.

Best way to make sure it’s the right size for your truck and lift is to put the lift on and measure the front. Then measure the rear and get spacers to make up the difference.

Modern vehicles have a wider front track as a design from the factory for tighter turning radius, to increase stability when cornering and when taking turns/curves at higher speeds.

Many aftermarket lift kits make the front even wider in addition to this. As Garrett said: Lift it then measure it to get whatever spacers you want to deem appropriate. I highly recommend hub-centric spacers, no wider than 2".

I have 2 1/2" hubcentric spacers on the rear of my XL, haven't had any problems whatsoever. Previously had them on my '96 Tahoe, so I've been running them for about 6 years now.

Par for the course. I've ran spacers on many of my rear-drive vehicles to make the rear match or even exceed the front's track width and never noted any problems.
