Installing a rear view backup camera

Good luck finding one. Not impossible, but very difficult.

True that.. I ordered one from someone on this forum but it did not fit or even work.

As far as backup cameras go, I have a Kenwood CMOS-320 hooked up to my double din head unit. Works great, plus I can switch to rear view any time even if I'm not in reverse (I'm not sure if they all do that..)

I ran the wire in the gap of the rear hatch seal and up the left side:

Hardest part was getting a good ground connection. I ended up using the same ground connection that the amp for my subs are using.

Yep, That’s the way I did mine (except for the ground).

Definitely on my ‘eventually list’! I’m doing the necessities first. Next up on the ‘necessities list’ is the cargo- cover/ shade.

Question. You guys running back up cams with double DINs...do you have to switch the input on the head unit everytime or will it pick up the signal and do it automatically?

With my double din--I hooked up the cam lead to the green reverse wire, so the cam comes on automatically once I put it in reverse.

right...but the headunit input recognizes this (when in reverse) and automatically changes your screen to the camera correct?
