Hey everyone!!

Just wanted to ask, I have a 2001 Yukon xl1500. I would like to install a brake controller myself (at the trailer place its almost 300 dollars) I looked in my manual, and In my glove box there is the Jumper wiring harness. Where in the world does it go? I understand it gets plugged into the box under the dash, but where in the world does the other end get plugged into? Or Is there a different adapter to buy? If it is a complicated thing, I will take it to the trailer place. But I thought I would explore other options before paying that much haha!! Thanks!!

that jumper wire plugs in to the box with the plastic bolt right next to the e-brake. The other end are bare wires that get connected to the brake controller. If it is the first time you use the jumper harness you will have to pull the ends out of all the electrical tape.

Get a vehicle specific harness for the model brake controller you have and your 01 Yukon. About $20. Plug one end in as Mr 960 said, the other end to the brake controller. Plug and play, done deal. 40 mins tops including mounting the controller.
