so UPS showed up at my door with a package containing two projector lights for my yukon, i must say who ever bought them for me knew what i liked but they have these halos around the lights and 3 smaller lights aswell that are seperately wired and im not sure what to splice the wires too, i am thinking about hooking to my fog lights so they will be on seperate switch but not sure, anyone with experience ideas would be welcomed im going to try and include pics IMG00732.jpg

If you want them on when your lights come on at night then hook them up to the parking lights (the wire that leads to the parking lights that DON'T blink). They'll turn on when you have your parking lights on and not necessarily when your headlights come on. They'll be on when you have your headlights on as well, but won't turn off when you turn the headlights off (this is assuming you have the parking lights on). Is this what you're after? If you go the foglight route then you'll only be able to have them on when your foglights are on. And if I remember correctly, you cannot have the foglights on while you have the high beams on either. Personally, I like the parking light route.

If it voids the warranty then I guess they are too hot for the housing, which kinda sucks because then you're limited to regular bulbs or 35W HID's. A lot of people put HID's in projector housings and use the 35W bulb setup. Just something you might want to consider since the 35W bulb should stay cooler than the xenons.

35w HID bulbs are actually cooler then standard halogen bulbs.

Go higher powered and I wouldn't guarantee anything, but I can fairly confidently tell you you're lights won't melt with 35w HID's unless they would also melt with halogen bulbs in there.
