I have a new 2016 Chevy Tahoe with the trailering package, but it does not have the integrated trailer brake controller system built in the dash as a part of the cluster that contains the headlight dial and the control dial for 2WD-4WD. Can the cluster with the integrated trailer brake controller system in it be purchased separately and added in place of the one that doesn't have the brake controller? My salesman says it cannot be ordered, but that seems a little crazy since it is simply plug and play!?@#!

My 2016 Yukon with Max Tow Package came with the Integrated Trailer Brake Controller...as well as the 3:42 gears...check your option codes on the glove box door...Max Tow should be the same Tahoe and Yukon.

Caddy doesn't even offer it, I have to put an aftermarket one in....but the caddy is the backup tow rig compared to the blown suburban

No the factory one cannot be added. This has to do with the BCM. It is unfortunate, but you have options. I recommend the Tekonsha controller. Easy to install, plug and play style, and it works as well as the factory system. They are available on Amazon, I have one on my 2016 Sierra. I bought the Sierra on the 20% off special and it was missing that feature.
