i guess there is because guys are easily putting the filters back in there +03's. At least in the silverado/sierra trucks. The multi-zone hvac system introduced in 03 didn't allow enough space for a cabin filter.

The weird thing about this thread is that I was about to post a thread about my cabin filter experience today... I pulled mine out and I swear it was the stock ones from '02. They were grey and black and had all kinds of debris on them. That was probably the best >$20 maintenance things I've done....
I would like to do this to the silverado. What filter do I buy and where does it go??
Wait, so for us 02-Up guys how does our air get filtered?
And how do we clean our HVAC?
I'm happy this was posted, I had no clue and was gonna got to my Service Dept. asking for a Cabin Air filter (would have looked like an idiot)?
