Yep, there's lighting. It's basically accent lighting identical to the accent led that is in the ceiling by the dome light switch. There is one located in each footwell. They look 10x brighter in pic.

2015 XL SLT. Front footwells and pretty much on center. The driver side is close to the hood latch.

So this is crazy. I decided to check again and guess what...I DO have footwell lights. WTH.

With that said, they are completely useless. Even at night they don't provide any light. Eager to hear if anyone has found an upgrade. I assume they are just 5 or 12v lights?

Yes, a joke and a waste of $ on GMs part. You literally have to place hand directly under to see if they are even on. They should have at least added a stronger led to come on with dome light switch.

I can't even figure out how to detach them to check what voltage they are!!

Probably need to probe wires running to light connection. Once I find time I'll take a look. It might be simple to replace, however, I don't want the light on 24/7 with truck running. I havent really checkes but I believe This is how they are currently wired...more like ambient lighting.
