2004 Tahoe with interior light that does not stay on with door open. Where are the door switches if there are any? It seems to do it more with the front pass. door, but I've had it happen with other doors too. Sometimes the interior light stays lit forever with open door, other times it fades out to off after 5-10 seconds of door being open. Anyone fixed this issue? Thank you in advance.

I believe the switches are part of or attached to the door latches in the door. I had the same issue and sprayed some WD40 in and around the latch. Haven't had an issue in the last 6 months.

Thank you for the reply. Do you mean the latch at the back of the door, about midway(bottom to top) up the door? We're not talking the hinges or the door handle.

The latch is correct, not the hinges. Spray with some contact cleaner if you have it, then lube it with WD-40 or something similar and you should be good. Had to do it on my old Silverado, but not on the Burb yet.
