Interior Light Problem

hey got a problem. when i open my door, the dome light and door lights dont come on. sometimes they do and sometimes they dont. when im inside my truck and i turn the dome light knob on, the dome light and all the lights on the driver side come on but not the passenger side lights. do i have a short? i hope not. please help

Ok do you have problems with your windshield wipers, stereo turning off and windows not wanting to work when your driving?

The reason im asking is thats how my 99 denali started with the the interior lights not wanting to work then couple months later my windshield wipers and stereo and windows only worked when they wanted to and it turn out to be my Body Control Module(BCM).

But i would first start by checking if youre headlight and dimmer switch is good.

Well my wipers and radio work fine for now. Do I have to remove those two switches to check them?

It's just one swith for both and i would just go to the local salvage yard and pick one up i got one for free when i got the trim bezel.

Oh ok. Thanks. Hopefully that will fix the problem by replacing the switch

One other thing that i forgot to ask is if the lights doesnt turn on with the other doors make sure the dome overide buttom is not pressd in and that the light bulds are not burn up i guess i should of started with ? first?

Stupid question I'm About to ask but what does that dome overide button do? Lol

the dome override button makes the interior lights NOT come on when you open the doors. comes in handy if you're working on something that requires you to have the doors open for long periods of time. or if you need to sneak a pee somewhere and want to be stealthy. keep us posted sir.
