Has anyone had a problem with the interior lights coming on by themselves? Twice now I've come out to a dead battery in the morning so last night I went out and checked and the lights were on. The light switch was not in the on position so I pushed the dome overide switch to turn them off and so far they haven't come back on. I checked the doors and the switch earlier when I charged the battery and made sure everything was off. I've watched when i shut the door and about 30 seconds they turn off. Maybe a bad door switch? Ghosts? Its a 99 Tahoe, been a fantastic ride so far. Thanks

Probably the drivers side door switch is wore out/broken. Mine sometimes doesn't turn on the interior lights, but it has never turned on the lights on its own

I agree, maybe the driver's door switch. Mine did the same thing, its a 98. I was driving mine and the interior lights came on, I thought i had left a door open. I haven't dealt with it yet, I just pushed the dome overide button in for now. Let me know what you find. I'll do the same when i get to it.

Thanks for the quick response, this site is great! Kinda what I was thinking-the door switch. Have had the dome overide on for 2 days and it hasn't happened again. I'm going to change the switch out this week, will update.

I checked the dealer, they are $12 each, also found them online at USautoparts for $6. But with shipping they cost just as much as the dealer. Haven't got around to picking them up yet.

Just wondering if you found a fix for the flickering lights? I also have a 99 2-door with flickering interior lights.
