Installed 2 scene lights on rear door molding, and RGB rock lights as well to have access to red lights to illuminate area when needing a little less conspicuous access.

Those look great. I'm assuming something like this?

Did you hook into the power on the rear liftgate to power these? Are they switched or they come-on automatically?

Thanks

Yes like those style scene lights, used rigid and these kasper as test run on my equipment trailer deck, couldn't tell difference, between them. So opted for the Kasper cheaper ones,

Switched, and used a fuse tap on rear fuse panel F09- says not used and it's constant hot.

The light is so bright that its power would be enough for a small party. When I was younger, my friends and I often gathered in the car instead of going somewhere. If you don't have enough money for a club, surprise your girlfriend with the fact that you can make a club in the base of the rear cargo area, lol. Young people now have more opportunities. I have seen bulbs that can sync to the beat of the music. I missed such a thing in my 25 years. Now, such powerful lighting can be useful when I try to find some small thing without glasses.

I don’t think it’s too bad…kind of prefer it not blinding when it’s dark out..

The cargo area in my 2019 Yukon has no lighting. There are only 3 rows of lighting, but the cargo area being the 4th row is left unilluminated. I posted about this before and considered adding some aftermarket light but never got around to it. I did learn however that the 2015-2016 (possibly 2017?) DID have a 4th row LED dome light that General Motors eliminated from future model years for some UNKNOWN reason, and apparently they never figured it out for the 2021+ models either. Cost savings?

That's weird... My '05 Yukon has that 4th light near the hatch. As usual...... What is GM thinking??

I have a 2021 Yukon Denali with 4 rows of overhead lights. The rear most light, just inside the liftgate only lights up half. I've bought a replacement light with the same results. There are only 2 wires that feed the light in my unit.

Has anyone else seen this problem and if so how was it solved?

I have no complaints about cargo area lighting Rigid A-series LEDs.

They're powered by a jumper pack in these photos but I did wire them into the rear cargo light via a relay (and transistor to counter the soft on / off of the dome lights) and replaced the trim.
