After waiting to see if I'd ever be able to get the the Duramax with the Teak/Light Shale interior, I'm likely about to pivot. With the price of diesel staying 25% higher in Texas, not sure I can keep on waiting. The dealer told me today that the chances of getting the Technology package AND diesel in the same week is damn near like hitting the Power Ball.

With that said, I may move to the 6.2 and pull the trigger. Before I do, I may be rethinking the interior. The light light shale/teak looked VERY bright when I saw one and I'm not always wearing long pants and sweat-free when I get in the truck. That made me think it might really get dirty quickly. The ONLY other option I'd consider is the Dark Walnut/Ash. Does anyone have a pic of these two and any feedback on dirt, specifically on the Teal? I deplore jet black seating which is why I looked at the teak to begin with. If the dark ash is dang near the same thing, I may just give in and get teal.

Any pics would be very helpful. Thank you!

I went with dark walnut / ash, cause I have a toddler and was worried bout stains. Visually I think I still prefer teak over my dark walnut, but it took me 10 months from order to possession so I don't think I want to deal with placing another lottery order again. Others have had good luck when applying product on the seats when brand new.

I'm not a big fan of black either, but it is a tried-and-true friend over time, especially if you have kids or dogs. We have a light "oyster" interior in another vehicle and over time it just shows wear and some dye transfer. After 4 years you can certainly tell which seat gets used daily vs say the rear seat that mostly looks oyster and pristine. And yes, I use Lexol conditioner and cleaner on it.

Here are a couple pics that I took when deciding which I wanted to go with. Basically stalked the dealers website, and even with it being a customer sold order, I begged the salesman to let me check out the interior since the website pictures don't give you a true feel.

The gray console with the brown ruined it for me. All brown would have been much better looking. The teak looks much nicer, however, I ordered black due to my 3 kids and a dog after seeing the brown and gray in person. If I had no kids or maybe grown up kids I would have 100% ordered the teak

I have beige interior in my Escalade. I would recommend putting down a towel when you wear jeans or least giving it a good wipe down before the dye sets in.

Dye transfer from denim a well known phenomenon with any light-coloured leather.

I would also stay away from white or lighter colors. As someone who dislikes black just because it’s boring, I found the sweet spot to be something in between. The Tartufo leather in our 2 yr old BMW X7 has held up pretty well to all kinds of abuse, including 4 kids and lots of jeans.
