Invision DVD headrest

Hey everyone, I'm new here.. I've been was on tahoeforum and was off the net for 2 months with a newborn baby. Now I'm back and I'm glad I was told about this site.. I just recently purchased new dvd headrest for my 07 tahoe LT. It's brand new but didn't come with good instructions. Anyone have a diy on this? I want to connect it to a power supply somewhere other than the acc. I hear there is an area to connect under the dash? If anyone has any info I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Depends on how much power is needed, you could use a pink ignition wire under the dash.
There are many that can be tapped into....

I installed these on my 2008 Z71 Avalanche 4x4 LT3.

From what I remember, the plug-n-play powered hookup is near the hood release area (driver underside of dash). You might have to remove that panel, but it's been about 18 mos. since I did the install and i don't remember doing that. It might just be further up in there toward the firewall.

Everything was just plug and play. You put the control unit under the console tray.

Can't be any simpler than pics...lol..Keep us updated cause I have 2 9" on a stock navi but the picture has swirls..I even put a video booster and it got a little better..But the flip down went back to crispy clear..

Is there a way to get the GM dvd heardrest system to run of the ACC instead of the ON position? I tried to move pin 8 to pin 7 but it wouldn't power both heardrests at the same time. I don't want to move to pin 5 (I think) because it will power the headrests all the time (even when the car is off). Also, when the key is OFF, this pin goes to 12.0 Volts and the screens won't power on as well.

A small, portable DVD player can be mounted into the back end of a car seat headrest for back seat passengers to view movies. While some vehicles come with headrest DVD players installed, it is possible to install an aftermarket DVD player into a car headrest. Installing a headrest player can be easier than an overhead one, as you don't have to worry about mounting screws or headboards. Can't hook up on accessory circuit to much amperage too run both headrest. When you turn one on the other will shut off. Needs to be tapped into junction box down by hood release per the instructions.
