I was sitting at an intersection waiting to turn right (south, turning west) onto a 4 lane street. there was a westbound SUV waiting for eastbound traffic to clear to turn south. At the same time, there was an eastbound Jeep Patriot approaching that was going to turn left (north), he tried to cut across oncoming westbound traffic to turn on to the street I was sitting on. Because of the south-turning SUV, he didn't see a white Mercury Mountaineer coming westbound. Mountaineer T-***** the Patriot and pushed the whole mess into my front end.

Here's my question. I live in Michigan, which is a "No At Fault" state. I carry a $1000 broad form collision deductible on my insurance. I've been told I'll be paying my deductible to get it fixed (which I won't, I can get the parts cheap), but I've also been told I won't be paying my deductible to get it fixed. What's the story? I'll be contacting insurance in the morning regardless.
Damage - Bumper, Grille, corner lights.
ironically, i've found my z71 bumper and was going to order it next week.
