Acadia....

So, I had my Yukon back in for service (tech who fixed my heated seat did not put the seat back together right-squeaked and had connectors and fabric hanging down). This time they gave me a new loaner, a GMC Acadia. Not bad, but not my Yukon. So, I paired my iPhone 6 with the system and guess what. It works (two days now). Then I plugged in the iPhone via USB and it worked.

So, what is the difference between the Yukon and the Acadia ?

go figure....

I am waiting on my Denali order so I had been renting a 2015 Yukon XL SLT pretty well loaded. It was not the mid year version and my iPhone 6 plus worked fine plugged in or in Bluetooth when not plugged in to a usb.

I am still waiting and had to get a new rental. I now have a 2015i Suburban. It works fine with my 6 plus when in Bluetooth mode but messes up plugged into usb.

With my Denali, I'll have the wireless charging so likely won't need to connect via usb so it probably won't matter. That's assuming I find a good way to make an iPhone work with the wireless charging.

Well, the bluetooth is at a lower volume output than the USB connection. From what I can tell it's about half the volume.

I actually never use the bluetooth for my music, just the USB connection. But both options are not working, so I'm out of luck for now.

I did ping the service manager that the Acadia works but not the Yukon. He said he would work to resolve the issue.

fingers crossed.

Wireless charging with iPhone 6 works perfectly with this: http://m.ebay.com/itm/301454630379?_mwBanner=1&rmvSB=true&_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649

When paired via Bluetooth, if you volume on the your Iphone is at half, it will come through in the vehicle half way....

I have a 6+ and have had zero issues....if I hop in and dont plug it in to charge, i can hit media and it instantly works. If I plug it in via the USB, it works fine. Once in awhile I have to hit play on ym iphone when plugged in via USB, but it works fine. I really have no complaints with my phone and the system and it works consistently.

Hope they get it resolved for you.

tpgun-Thanks, I changed the setting on my iPhone for volume and that worked. I thought it was all the way up, but I was wrong.

Now for the update:
Got the Yukon back from dealer. He fixed the seat issue and the iPhone issue.

GMC just released an intelilink update on the 11th. They updated my system yesterday. I went to dealership and connected via Bluetooth and everything works. I then connected via USB cable and everything works. Finally. I hope this sticks and I don't have any more issues.

Per the SM at the dealership, they advised that the issues I reported were part of the update.
Also, one more that I didn't mention here that happened to me. Some iPhone 6 owners have experienced a vehicle starting failure.
Here is what happened to me. I was taking my daughter and her friend to lunch after their basketball game. When we left, we got in the Yukon and I pressed the start button. Gauges deflected but no start. Then I tried key fob (lock then start) and nothing. I called for tow....then I went to fuse panel on drivers side and pulled the main fuse. I put it back in and vehicle started. When I mentioned this to the dealer, they looked at me like I was trying to sell them corn. I asked them to pull codes and they said they didn't see anything wrong.
So, GMC now recognizes more issues with iPhone but not all dealers know about this.

Interesting. I wonder if the update undoes the GPS entry in motion for those of us who have swapped the HMI.

How does the version number show after this update?

Would also like to know if it would ruin my HMI swapped video-in-motion upgrade... They guys who sell it say USB downloadable software updates don't break the hack as long as dealer doesn't "recalibrate" the HMI. Not that I trust the dealer to abide by that
