I would hesitate with a 90k mile 4L60E, but not with a 90k mile 6L80E or 6L90E (which I believe All NNBS Escalades have).
I changed the fluid and filter on my 6L80 at around 125k, it was a bit dark but looked and smelled fine. I think it was the first time it had been changed. Shifted great. After changing it shifted even quicker (or maybe that was just placebo ). But what I can confirm for sure is that it's running 10-20 degrees cooler. I'm at nearly 140k now and fully expect the trans to last til 200k, if I don't trade in the truck before then.
I would buy, change the fluid and filter at 100k, and enjoy the peace of mind that you have a proven reliable transmission with new fluid.
