On the GMT900s the remotes and tire pressure sensors are handled through the RCDLR module, the driver's door.

It saves a lot of time to have the shop manuals in pdf form. This way you can search and find out where stuff is.
Any chance those are free around the web? I have access to Chilton's manuals but they aren't really written with the Tech2 in mind.

Can somebody with a late-model GMT800 check 2 things for me?

#1 With driver memory, do the remotes recall driver memory settings? IE, we previously had a Buick Enclave, unlocking the car with remote #1 automatically adjusts the mirrors, seat, steering wheel, radio presets, etc for driver #1, doing so with remote #2 adjusts those things for driver #2. Does the GMT800 not do that? I just reprogrammed our 2 keyless remotes, using the Tech2 through the PDM and it still won't recall driver memory settings.

#2 At idle my throttle position sensor shows 14-18%. I thought this was just not calibrated properly but after looking at detailed data with the Tech2 I'm not so sure... I have the electronic butterfly if that makes a difference.

05 Yukon: I can't seem to find how to reprogram keyless remotes with the Tech2... any help? I found a procedure that doesn't require the Tech2 but it doesn't program them for Driver Memory Control from what I understood (which is possibly how mine have been programmed because they both recall Driver 2 settings).
I have been previously told the Driver 1/Driver 2 feature ended in '03. I was told that when I was tying to program my '06 Yukon FOBs. That feature was not mentioned in the '06 Owner's Manual but it was in a '02 manual that I have. So, what I was told kind of matched the factory literature I had.

There are a few things that are only 05-6. Maybe this is one. I only got one fob with mine,(06) but it had a 2 on the back. I hadn't since employed an ebay one as an extra. Nothing moves per remote and i have two drivers set with the door buttons.

Had an interesting occurrence the other day while using the Tech2... I can't even remember why I had plugged it in, but some time after I plugged it in my wife mentioned her heated seat wouldn't work. I said, "Hey, I can try to turn it on with this!" So I go to that module, go to passenger heated seat and it says "Commanded: none", I hit the "on" button, no lights lit up on the door panel, the seat didn't get warm, and a few seconds after commanding it on the status reverted to "commanded: none". I thought that was odd so I tried my heated seat, both with the Tech2 and with the door buttons; nothing was working.

I unplugged the Tech2 and still nothing. After we stopped for dinner and got back in I had her try her seat again and voila, it worked just fine. Is it possible something with the Tech2 being connected disabled or possibly jumbled the module to the point it wouldn't work then an ignition reset put it all back to functional again? That's the only thing I can think of.

I figured I would have to call it a '13 to get it to work but we'll see this weekend when we go visit grandma and grandpa. Also agree on the k/c, mine is a k1500.

What sort of other features have you been able to access by calling it a cadillac and monte-carlo?

Chinacardiags.com
When I looked earlier in the week the kit w/o case had dropped $20 in price (to $239 + $59 shipping) but the "chinacardiags" discount code only took 1% off instead of the 6% I received so it only accounted to about $8 cheaper than the price I paid...

ETA, the chinacardiags kit comes with just about every physical adapter you can imagine, Power adapters: 110V US spec wall plug, 12V cigarette lighter plug, & 12V alligator clips plug, Communications adapters: more than I can describe because I don't know what most of them are for. It comes with about 5 different cd's/dvd's, and the icing on the cake, legit-looking "Vetronix" sticker set for the Tech2, CANDI module, etc for those that want to be real posers with their chinese counterfeit Tech2's. The Vetronix stickers even say "Made in USA" on them... haha

LOL,There is a way to make coupon code works (I mentioned to the customer service that I want a discount,I say I have bought many thing in this site:lol:) give me like tks

According to my brief reading the go-to right now is a website called chinacardiags.com some reported getting them as low as $219 a few years ago but it appears they're going up in price. Likely because they're old technology now and I doubt GM is buying anymore so the. only market is folks like us (the reality is that we aren't a huge market. My brother, a self-employed mechanic, didn't even know you could buy a clone Tech 2 for that cheap. They're over $300 now, but still cheaper than the $350+ ebay prices.

I have got two (SP23-1 and sp23) sp23-1 is good and price is good, sp23 with one case,so price a little higher How to Choose gm tech 2 Scanner on chinacardiags.com

I was looking that site over. It appears the packages come with the memory card, why would I want to buy one separately? And ideas?
I could be wrong but I think if you wanted to record data it needs a separate card for memory, otherwise no idea I have no use for a 2nd card myself
