Is it necessary to do free travel mod with 2/3-4 drop?

sawzall
long blade
follow along bottom of frame
hour max

The part that takes long is if you cut the bracket by the welds then you will be ther for a while.

Most of the ones I do I tell them it can be a 1 hour job make it even or cut i toff completly and add 2 hours. In all the years ive been doing it when cutting it even with the frame and spraying the rest with undercoating paint never have had rust issues even with the guys that live up in lake tahoe where it snows.

Not cutting off the bracket where it welds to the frame causes no other issues then when you pull tire off you see the top portion up there but you get just as much travel movement.

As much as I would love to do this free travel mod I just can't see myself doing this at all.... I have no tools plus the mechanics up by me are some basic change your brakes type of guys....lol.... I had to call tony about 15 times just to make sure the mechanic who put my suspension on did it right..... I would like some info on the airlift 1000?... I was considering going this route instead of the free travel mod... what do u guys think?

you can add the helper bags in rear if you plan to load it up.

Hey jumanji, did the airlift 1000 change the ride comfort? I really would like to keep the feel it has now..

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in case someone is considering this. I have the belltech 2/3 drop from Tony and have been driving on it for a few years now. I had the free travel mod done last week and it is a WORLD of difference. I can't believe i hadn't noticed how little clearance I had between the bumpstop and axle.
