So after trying everything, I finally had to go to a muffler shop and have them weld a nut to my tranny drain plug that stripped out horribly. Everything has been fine but immediately after leaving there, check engine light came on and had rough idle. The stereo cut out for 2 seconds but came back on. When I pulled in driveway i could smell something burnt, possibly the ATF, plus the engine sounded pretty rough ( sorry but hard to explain, just wanted to shut it off asap). I replaced the ATF and everything looked good inside the pan. Is it a coincidence that PO300 popped up after all that heat on the trans pan or is it possible that some wiring may have corrupted the ECM? Last time I had that code no one could figure it out and ultimately had to have dealer flash it to fix it. Thoughts?
