is the back chevy bowtie emblem drilled in?

Pretty sure the fit is identical but yes the edges have a slightly different angle as said above. Have you considered having a body shop fill and repaint the existing piece? Probably cheaper than ordering a yukon piece and still having to paint. GMPartsDirect sells the Yukon Applique (the piece in question) for 67.59 without the backup camera and still needs paint. I'm sure a body shop would charge less to bondo the holes and paint the existing one.

Oh and if you decide to just paint the emblem then you can pick up some double sided 3m automotive tape at your local autoparts store.

I just did this mod.. there definately has to be a easier way to remove the residue because the blowdryer/goo gone did not work for me. Then again, I was pretty impatient with the blowdryer.

but all in all, not too hard of a mod to change out the bowties.

The front grill took a bit of work.

did you have to remove the interior paneling to get the bowtie off the lift gates?

no you do not have to remove any panels.

I just took my bowties off to have them color matched. The front one is 2 (10mm) self thread nuts and a big gob of double stick in the middle, and the rear is double stick w/ to 1/8" or so **** (used to center the bowtie) be careful when removing the rear so you dont break the ****. I broke one of mine
