I'm searching to see if there's a direct-fit muffler upgrade to the stock muffler on my 2014 Yukon.

I'm not sure if it's even possible to unbolt the factory muffler and swap in a more free-flow muffler that removes as much existing restriction as possible, while adding a little more sound.

I don't really need it to be super loud, and honestly, after living with a JBA exhaust on my Nissan Armada I wouldn't mind it to be just a mild sound upgrade.... tiny rumble vs. Godzilla roar all the time.

TIA

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Pics, please.

Lots of folks here have aftermarket exhaust systems, some mufflers only, and some complete systems. They will chime in with their thoughts and experiences, and they will discuss how to best make the mod. Corsa and Magnaflow are two popular brands on this Forum, but there are other brands, as well.

I have a Gibson Extreme cat-back dual exhaust system, but it would be way too loud for you preferences.

Stock muffler is welded in so whatever you replace it with has to be cut out and welded in. MBRP, Corsa Sport, Gibson, Flowmaster, Borla, etc. Lots and lots of choices. Check out youtube for the one that sounds best to YOU!

Thanks for the tip on brands. Lots more to choose from than I was used to with the 'ole Nissan.

I used this Jones jfp300 and I'm really pleased with the sound, around town and the thruway, no drone or anything.
There's a few threads and comments about it in the group and also where I learned of it, straight through unrestricted design but nice and mellow still.

@Charlie207

I had this muffler as well and loved it before going through many other iterations of exhaust combinations.

I have several videos on YouTube of the different exhaust combinations I have been through if you want to hear a variation of exhausts on the same truck.

Here is my current setup with all the info about components in the description...

That will get you to my channel and you can watch the other videos. They all have components listed in the description.

My current setup is probably too loud for your liking from the sound of it.

I have a video of it with the Jones performance muffler on it as well.

The Jones performance muffler is hard to beat for price and sound.

.

You're right, it's to loud for my liking for this vehicle, because all my other cars are loud as shit..lol
I was looking for something a little mellower for my every day driver, plus it isn't like it has a giant cam or boosted, just a tune and a cold air kit, so there wouldn't be much to listen to.
