Long time no post, but someone wrecked my Accord (work vehicle) last week. I found a CPO 2020 SLT with 60k for under $50k. Carfax is clean but it was a rental up in Michigan. With it being so new, should I worry about rust issues? My second thought is it was a rental vehicle, so I'm sure rinsed off after every use.

Love following the site, looking to get back to a Tahoe/Yukon. Sold my 2003 SLT a couple of years ago and regretted it ever since!
I bought my 2019 SLT 4x4 in December 2019 for $43,000 (I believe the Carmax price was $42,650 or something like that) with 34,000 miles. It was a Hertz rental from Kansas so no rust.

The good old days when you could buy the same year with under 36k miles for almost 1/2 price.

Hey hey now, MSRP was only $60,000 something not $80,000. This wasn't a Denali where you pay $20,000+ more for the word Denali to be stuck everywhere and some extra plasticized chrome too!

18,000 for 34,000 miles is not bad. It’s almost 33% for a same year truck. I paid 47k for my 2008 Escalade Sport Collection which had a sticker of 70k back in early 2009. The truck only had 8k miles on it. In the summer of 2003 I paid zero percent apr for a new 2003 ESV. This time around I paid 55k for a 4 year old truck that was 90k new with 48k miles.

~$43,000 not $18,000.

If the truck is 60k or 61k new then you buy it for 43k with 34,000 miles within the same year that means you saved 18,000 for 34k miles. I paid in 2016 61k for a Tahoe LT 4x4 which I regret that I didn’t buy the LTZ or with some kind of electronic or magnetic ride suspension. I drove my 2008 Escalade more because of this and didn’t really enjoy my 2016 Tahoe. I got rid of it in March of 2020. I would have kept my Tahoe up until now if it had the magnetic ride like the LTZ. The dampers makes a huge difference and you can’t install them after you get the truck unless you have great knowledge and the right programmer.

I see what you are saying. You had me confused. In regards to your Tahoe you might NOT regret getting that magnetic ride suspension when you DON'T have a failure involving a very costly system. I find no lack of comfort in my vehicle with a traditional spring and shock or strut suspension, of course I have the 18" wheels not 20" or 22" with much less bump absorbing rubber "meat."

I was living in MYC the whole time I owned my 2016 Tahoe as well as my 2008 Escalade since new. I got to compare and I really noticed the difference. Also the 2008 Escalade had electronic suspension which had dampers and the same setup as your the magride. The only difference between the electronic and magride is the response time in milliseconds. 2009 was when the Escalade switched to magride on the Escalade with 22” rims. The Escalade with the 18” rims still had electronic. All the 2007-2008 Escalades had electronic either the 18” or 22”. Only the 2008 platinum had magride. None of the Yukons or Tahoes from 2007-2014 came with magride even the Denali. It was a treat when the 2015-2020 Yukon SLT/Denali and Tahoe LTZ came with magride because some owners preferred the look over the Escalade.

Depends on how long you want to keep it. I had the autoride on the 13 LTZ Avalanche. Nice but expensive when time to replace @ 60k miles. Also more difficult to lift. I purposely avoided it on my burb, and stuck with cushy 18" wheels with P tires. Rides great with hellwig sway bars...
