Did a lot of research on the subject when mine started doing it. The steel bb beats the aluminum plate until it enlarges the hole or gets stuck in the plate. I was going to fix it but at the time I needed my truck every day, and I kept saying I'll do it next weekend. Just remember next weekend never comes until the truck doesn't move anymore.

That's it but you can get it a lot cheaper than that. You can get a trans go for $20 if you don't mind aftermarket, or I know I have seen OEM for under $100.
