Issues with paint chipping?

I'm just curious if anyone else has had this problem. I was looking at my Yukon headlights yesterday, and it looks like the paint is starting to chip around the headlights. It looks like it is only on the bottom. I just recently moved from Chicago to Phoenix...could it be a result of the heat? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!
