I had an earlier post around a new Napa control arm bushing collapsing before I even put the wheels back on the truck.
They'd agreed to replace the bushing but I wanted them to pay to have the new one pressed in if I took the control arm back off....not alot of money but it's the principle...business is business.
It took three days of going up the mgmt ladder but the regional manager was cool and agreed to pay for the pressing.
I had a funny conversation with one guy who wanted me to appeal to the manufactor of the part...he tried to say it wasn't Napa's responsibility because they're just the middle guys. It was a silly comment because the box the part came in said Napa so I figure they can deal with the manufactor....his boss came thru in the end.
Lesson here is: stay polite and when you realize you're not getting somewhere with someone just ask for their boss's name and number....in a big company that will sometimes work.
I will say cracking loose a brand new balljoint was not easy.
