I had a buddy who owned a C store.. - to make a long story short he was held up at gun point . and thats what it cost him. but that was almost 10 years ago.. closer to 15.. so yeah..... you prob right...
It would be more these days. After all was said and done he told me he should have just given the kid the money in the register. it wasn't worth it. every 2 days there is a Robbery here...

It would cost A LOT more than that. Trust me. Even if you did everything by the numbers you'd still get sued. If the perp lived he/she would sue for damages and if the perp didn't the family would sue for "wrongful death". Either way it could easily run into a six-figure defense. Happens all the time.

that's why I don't put a lot of thought into shooting somebody. I have seen enough TV to know I would be in more trouble than the perp' who originally committed the offense against me.

Oh, & my father pulled his handgun on somebody a while back and spent like a year in jail for it. I do know from that, if you take your gun out you should use it and not leave any witness to testify.
